Guru Kashi University Organizes National Conference on Commerce & Management

Talwandi Sabo, April 28, 2015: Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo in collaboration with Punjab Commerce & Management Association (PCMA) organized a National Conference on contemporary issues in Commerce & Management. More than 100 participants came across India to attend the conference. Papers were presented on the topics Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Agriculture Business.

Dr. J.S. Dhaliwal, Chancellor Guru Kashi University was chief guest for the inaugural session, Dr. S.P. Bansal, Vice Chancellor, Maharaja Agrasen University, Baddi was the keynote speaker. Along with Dr. N.S. Malhi, Vice Chancellor, Guru Kashi University, Dr. G.S. Batra, Pattern PCMA, Dr. Kashmir Singh, President PCMA, Dr. B.S. Dhaliwal, Dean Academic, Guru Kashi University, Dr. Narinder Singh, Director Finance, GKU, Dr. H.S. Randhawa, Dean Engineering and Dr. Amit Tuteja, Deputy Registrar, GKU graced the occasion.

The conference was started with the Shabad “Deh Shiva Bar Mohe Ehai” followed by welcome speech by Mr. Gurbir Singh, (Prof. UCCM, GKU). PCMA report was delivered by Dr. G.S. Batra whereas Dr. Kashmir Singh shared the conference theme with the delegates. Dr. S.P. Bansal in his keynote address discussed all the related issues regarding make in India for the world and presidential remarks were given by Dr. J.S. Dhaliwal, Chancellor, Guru Kashi University. Dr. N.S. Malhi, Vice Chancellor, Guru Kashi University also gave the concluding remarks. Dr Amandeep Singh, Dean, UCCM delivered vote of thanks in the inaugural session.

In the valedictory ceremony Dr. P. Chakraborty, Ex-Prof., IIFT, New Delhi was the chief guest whereas Dr. Khushwinder Kumar, Principal, MM Modi College, Patiala was the guest of honor. Dr. B.B. Singla, General Secretary, PCMA delivered vote of thanks in the valedictory ceremony.

Dr. N.S. Malhi, Vice Chancellor, Guru Kashi University highly appreciated the work done by University College of Commerce & Management and gave directions to hold international conference in near future.
