Students participate in Inter College Chess Competition held at Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo.
Talwandi Sabo, September 28, 2015: Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo organized Inter College Chess Competition. Programme was inaugurated by S.Jasbir Singh Sidhu Director Student Welfare in the presence of Dr.Kewal Singh, Director Sports and other staff members of GKU. Dr.Ravinder Sumal, Dean Physical Education College welcomed all the staff members and participants. During the competition students of University College of Agriculture Sonit Boora bagged 1st position, Sagar Batra 2nd and Vikas Kumar student of University College of Computer Applications got 3rd position.
S. Jasbir Singh Sidhu addressed the students with th words that they should participate more actively in the sports event. Students were also honored with the Medals and certificates as per their performance. During this programme Prof. K. P. S Mahi, Prof. Satpal Singh, Prof. Jaswinder Singh, Prof. Kanwaljeet Singh, Prof. Gurdeep Singh and Prof. Surinder Kaur Mahi did praiseworthy job during this event.
Dr. N.S. Malhi, Vice Chancellor lauded the efforts of GKU staff for this Competition and also motivated the students to take parts maximum in sports, along with this he also assured about every possible support to the sports person of the University.
