Group of 20 students from PAU attend 7day Hiking & Trekking tour at Dalhousie

Ludhiana, July 21, 2016: A group of 20 students from PAU attended a 7-day Hiking & Trekking tour at Dalhousie. The Director Students’ Welfare, Dr Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal and the organizer of the tour, appreciated the discipline maintained by the students during the tour. While congratulating the team members and teacher incharges, Dr Dhaliwal said that since sports and co-curricular activities develop self confidence and enhance the student’s personality, PAU has always endeavoured to involve students in various literary, cultural and sports activities from time to time. She advised the students to involve themselves in cultural, sports and youth activities along with their academic performance.

Briefing about the tour, Satvir Singh, Welfare Officer said that the students used to hike & trek on an average 10-12 kms per day. They visited the places like Khajjiyar, Chamera Dam, Kalatop, Samadh of Baba Ajit Singh, Dainkund etc. The students enjoyed in the pristine environment while trekking through thick forests. He remarked that such tours not only refresh the students but also give them good exposure and learning experience.
