GRIEVANCE: Pensions without pension since three months

Ferozepur , January 3, 2013:  A meeting of Municipal Pensioner Association Feozepur-Bathinda Region Executive Body meeting was held under the leadership of Jagdish Lal Monga. 

In the meeting, condemning the wrong policies of the Punjab Government, the president said, the pensioners have not been paid pension for the last three months and they are feeling great difficult in managing the day today affairs.

Monga said, the association has written number of times to the Local Bodies Minister and senior officers with regard to the demands of the pensioners but as of date, there is no outcome to their solutions.  He further said that the pensioners have not been paid old age allowance and 7 per cent DA installment besides arrears on this account whereas the Punjab Government employees have already been released the 7 per cent DA installment. 

He also said that the next meeting has been fixed for January 7 and in case there is no solution to their problems, the pensioners would demonstrate on January 9, to register their protest and press for the demands.
