Badal greets people on Dussehra and Durga Puja

Chandigarh/Ludhiana, October 23, 2012: The Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today felicitated the countrymen especially the Punjabis living in country and abroad on the auspicious festival of Dussehra and Durga Puja.

In a message, Badal said that these two festivals surpass communal barriers and provide an opportunity to the people to reinforce their bonds of brotherhood, amity and goodwill.  Our nation has an age old tradition of celebrating Dusshera and Durga Puja that symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and shows us the way of ideal and virtuous living to carve out a healthy and harmonious society.

The Chief Minister appealed the people to celebrate this joyous occasion in collectively with religious fervour and gaiety rising above of the parochial considerations of caste, creed and colour.
