Ludhiana, October 7, 2019: PCTE’s Annual Fest – Festaweek 2019, A week-long Cultural and Literary Festival had a Grand Start this year again. The Festival includes TURF- Inter-School Competition, KOSHISH- Intra College Competition and EHSAAS- Inter College Competition which will take place in the coming days.
A famous singer Jasbir Jassi will be performing at Campus on 12th October. Reports say that the Festaweek is awaited event in the city, where the bands like the Indian Ocean, Euphoria, Satinder Sartaj, Nooran Sisters and others have already performed in the previous years.
The Fun and Excitement of Festaweek 2019 has begun with the unfolding of the first set of results of an event - British Parliamentary Debate. Among senior wing Medical Lab Sciences students stood first followed by B.Pharma 3 rd year that bagged the second position and BBA 3B stood third. In Junior wing BBA 1D bagged 1st position, BCA 2A bagged the second position followed by B.Com 2nd year who won 3rd position. Unlike, the regular debates organized by various schools and colleges of the region, the British Parliamentary Debate entails a Knockout League match pattern - where two teams after draws fight against each other in a nearly hour-long debate, and the winner goes to the next round”. Everyone appreciated the skills of the participants and congratulated the winners.
Another literary event, Quiz had its final round today where the first position was bagged by BJMC 1st year followed by BBA 1B and BBA 1A with 2nd and 3rd position respectively. The day also witnessed the prelims round of Instrumental Solo.
The students of PCTE have created a wonderful amalgamation of cultures, nationalities and ethnicity, PCTE has become a melting pot of several national and international regional tastes through various forms of expressions like dance, debate and fine arts at its annual fest. “Just imagine the amount of learning where students from 42 different countries come together and participate in one single mega fest having various literary, cultural and fine arts events.
Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of institutes said that the students are practising with great zeal and enthusiasm and spirit of winning is truly demonstrated in their performances and behaviours every time. Dr. Kang is also expecting the schools and colleges of the city to participate in the Inter Events and said that they are the future of nation and society. He further stressed that festivals like this help in nurturing young talent and provide students with a platform to demonstrate their skills.
