Ferozepur, November 29, 2014: While interacting with the media persons, Madan Lal, CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Service Authorities at ADR (Alternative Dispute Redressal) Centre Ferozepur said that government soon shall tighten the noose of those financers who are blackmailing the innocent people by usurping their money. He said that he has received reports regarding some financers in the city, who are looting the poor people by occupying their ATM Cards/ Cheque books etc for their personal use. He clarified that no one can work as a financer as per the instructions of RBI. He said if a complaint is received, the offender can be fined with Rs.5 lakh cash or he can be sent to jail for ten years (or both) by the court under Private Money Lending Act, 2007.
Madan Lal, CJM-cum-Secretary, DLSA also informed on this occasion that a “Mega Lok Adalat” shall be organised on 6th December. Vivek Puri, District and Session-Judge-cum Chairman, DLSA said that “Lok Adalats” are the need of the hour, where cases can be solved with mutual consent without wasting much time and money. He urged people to come up with their problems at National level Lok Adalat on 6th December.
The CJM said 419 cases have been settled by DLSA, Ferozepur since July 2010.
