CHANDIGARH, NOVEMBER 2, 2017: The Punjab Government agencies and private millers have procured total 14374686 tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till today evening which included 397216 tonnes procured on 2nd November.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesman of Punjab Government said that out of total procurement of 14374686 tonnes of paddy in all the procurement centers of Punjab, the Government agencies procured 14137557 tonnes of paddy (98.4%) till date whereas 237129 tonnes (1.6%) of paddy has been procured by millers.
He said that PUNGRAIN had procured 4720587 tonnes (32.8%), MARKFED procured 3179707 tonnes (22.1%). PUNSUP procured 3040514 tonnes (21.2%), PSWC procured 1448755 tonnes (10.1%) and PAFC was able to procure 1433582 tonnes (10.0%) of paddy. The Central Government agency FCI had been able to procure 314412 tonnes (2.2%).
