Godrej Appliances expands its global footprint with launch of its Green Balance range of air conditioners in Maldives

Godrej Appliances, one of India's leading players in the home appliances industry, launched its Green Balance range of Air conditioners in Maldives. The launch is part of a joint initiative by the United Nations and Godrej Appliances to promote energy efficient and green products across the globe.

Godrej Appliances has always led the way when it comes to laying the foundation for a greener tomorrow. In 2012, the company in collaboration with the German Federal Ministry introduced the R290 refrigerant in India with the launch of its Green Balance range of Air conditioners. R290 is the world’s greenest refrigerant with zero Ozone Depletion Potential and a Global Warming Potential of only 3. Most other refrigerants operate at a Global Warming Potential range of 1700-2100. This makes Godrej a pioneer in energy efficient, environmentally safe and sustainable cooling technologies
