At GNDEC, New Session starts with a Bang

Ludhiana, July 18, 2018: The new academic session of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana has commenced. Keeping in view the guidelines received from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the newcomers to the institution will be undergoing a well designed two to three weeks Induction program. The program starts with a yoga session each day early in the morning. The day is packed with back to back activities, lectures by eminent experts and interactive sessions.
The plethora of activities includes sports by Dr.Gunjan Bhardwaj, NSS, NCC. Sessions by Dean (Academics): Dr. K.S.Gill, Dean (Examinations): Dr. Akshay Girdhar, Dean (Training & Placement): Er. Gagandeep Singh Sodhi and activity incharges will be held to apprise the new students about the rules and regulations of the college.
Welcoming the students, Dr. Sehijpal Singh, Principal apprised them of the rich and varied heritage of the college. He exhorted the students to adopt a virtuous path to attain their goals. On the first day, students interacted with Dr. S.B. Singh, Ex-Principal and alumnus of the college and advised them to adopt the path shown by our gurus to progress in life. He introduced the students to distinguished Alumni of the college. The students will also be taken on tour to Anandpur Sahib during the orientation program. During the course of the program students will get an opportunity to interact with B.S.Rattan, Retd. IRS, Ankitpal Singh, Director, The Flying Edge Academy, Indore with the topic of Career Guidance, Time Management and confidence building, Aeromodelling workshop by Group Capton,No.4 Air Wing, NCC, Er. Satwant Singh, PCS, Municipal Commissioner, Ludhiana, Dr. H.S. Rai, Dean (Consultancy), Dr. Parampal Singh on communication skills, Dr. Arvind Dhingra on Extra-curricular Activities and motivation, Over 780 students of first year engineering are attending the orientation program. The program is being coordinated by Pf. Randhir Singh and Pf. Satwinderjit Kaur.
