Amritsar, October 27, 2014: The tuition fee and funds for admission (2015-16) in professional courses of rural campuses of Guru Nanak Dev University would be reduced by 30 percent. This will be applicable to Guru Nanak Dev University Regional Campus Sathiala and Regional Campus Fattu Dhinga, Sultanpur Lodhi for the students of first semester of academic session 2015-16 in technical courses like M.B.A.,M.C.A. (Five Years), B.Tech. (Civil), B.Tech. (Mechenical), B.Tech. (E.C.E.) and B.Tech. (C.S.E.).
This decision was taken in the Meeting of Finance Committee of the University which held here today in the Committee Room of the Vice-Chancellor Office. Vice-Chancellor, A.S. Brar Presided over. Paramjit Singh, Dean, Academic Affairs, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Registrar, Prof. A.J.S. Bhanwer, Principal Dr. Charanjit Singh Bal, Principal Sukhbir Kaur Mahal and Harjit Singh, Nominee of Principal Secretary, Financial Department Punjab were also present.
Committee also approved Rs. 20 lac under UGC 12th Plan to upgrade the University Health Centre. More facilities like Emergency Ward, ECG Room, and Staff Room etc. will be added.
