GNA University Organised a Sarpanch Meet
Jalandhar, June 29, 2019: GNA University organized a Sarpanch Meet at the University premises. Around 80 Sarpanches from the nearby districts attended this Meet. The sole objective of this Meet was to establish a close knit connect with the responsible leaders of these villagers so that the youth of the nearby districts could seek some educational benefit and be a proud and responsible citizen. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. VK Rattan, Vice- Chancellor, GNA University said, “GNA University is the University with a difference. We are always there for the needs of the community at large. We as an educational institution have the potential and skill based courses that can assist in making the intelligent youth become employable.” Mr. Paramjeet Singh, Agricultural Officer from Phagwara Tehsil apprised all the gathered village representatives about the Punjab government schemes regarding agriculture. He said, “GNA University has taken a great step in organising such a meet where all the leaders with brilliant ideas can come together under one roof and help each other in the growth of the community. Dr. Vikrant Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology presented a detailed presentation of all the courses running in the University. He even shared all the prospective avenues that can be readily available for the students once they get the valuable degree. Mr. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, Pro- Chancellor, GNA University conveyed his regards to all and said, “I am happy to witness the huge gathering of people with a similar mindset. I am sure if we work together in communion, we can help in the future growth of our youth on a better platform.” Dr Narendra Awasthi, Registrar, GNA University extended the vote of thanks and happily shared with all the gathered Sarpanches, “GNA University is always at a front end in offering scholarship to all the brilliant candidates who have the inclination towards studies but lags behind due to financial constraints.” He even said, “We are ready to offer 50% discount to all such worthy students routed through the Sarpanch of the respective village.”
