GNA University inks MoU with CIPET

Jalandhar, September 16, 2019: GNA University Phagwara has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)- a premier National Institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India) for imparting Skill Development Training to the unemployed youth of the society.
The MoU will enable students to work on latest research work on Plastic and Polymers. This will facilitate students of both these institutions to take up various academic programs like Plastic Product Design, Injection Mould Design, Rapid Prototyping, Reverse Engineering and Moldflow analysis as well as Faculty exchange programs and Research projects with each other. Both the organizations expressed their intention to cooperate within the scope of their mandates and sphere of competences to work.
GNA University and CIPET aim to promote the advance mechanical technologies like RPT, Plastic moulding and conduct collaborative research projects and short term as well as midterm programs to foster innovation and regularly apprise students about the intellectual property policies.
During the MoU Dr V. K. Rattan Vice Chancellor GNA University and C.R.Tripathy Dean Faculty of Design and Innovation from GNA University and Dr. Sandeep Rimza, Rajesh Maurya and Raj Shekhar from CIPET were present.
Dr. Pradeep Upadhyaya Principal, Director and Head of CIPET appreciated S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra’s- CEO GNA Gears and Pro-Chancellor GNA University efforts towards continuously providing latest technologies to the budding engineers which will help them in future to achieve their desired goals.
Dr. Pradeep Upadhyaya Principal, Director and Head of CIPET said, “CIPET are undergoing some many Govt. initiative projects. From now onwards even students of GNA University will get exposure on these projects and both institutes will conjointly work on it.”
