GNA University celebrates “International Animation Day”

Jalandhar, November 4, 2019: Faculty of Animation and Multimedia of GNA University, Phagwara organized a gala celebration for “International Animation Day” at the University Campus for creating awareness among students about the importance of the day. The event was enthusiastically celebrated for two days. The 2 days competition was based on the theme “Marvel” where students participated with full enthusiasm and gave spectacular performances on different events like Photography, 2D character design, Marvel Quiz, Rangoli and painting. During the span of 2 days celebration, an Art Room Inauguration was also executed under the benign presence of the Pro-Chancellor S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra and Vice Chancellor Dr. VK Rattan along with Dean Academics Dr. Monika Hanspal and other Heads/Deans and staff members of the University. The Pro-Chancellor S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra duly appreciated the efforts by the team of Animation and Multimedia and congratulated every member for putting up the best foot forward in showcasing the relevance of the Animations & Multimedia in the current scenario. The 2 days ceremony concluded with the Prize Distribution where the Vice-Chancellor Dr. VK Rattan along with the judges of different competitions and Head of FAM department, Mr. Baljit Singh, shared their views about importance of International Animation Day and rewarded the winners with attractive mementoes and cash prizes. The Head of FAM department, Mr. Baljit Singh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the members of the department and even extended his thanks to all the participants from the other departments to be a part of the 2 day celebration.
