California Eagles entered semi finals by beating Black Panthers by 62-39

Ludhiana: Black Panthers beat Maple Leaf Canada by 61-45 to register second victory in Global Kabaddi League at Punjab Agriculture University Ludhiana’s Astroturf Hockey Stadium here on Sunday evening. Now Black Panthers have 6 points from eight outings with two wins and six defeats. Where as Canada have 12 points from 9 outings with 4 wins and 5 defeats.

California Eagles reserve the berth in the semi finals of the league by beating Delhi Tigers by 62-39 to earn 24 points from 9 outings with 8 wins and one defeat. California remains on top of the table. Where as Delhi Tigers faced sixth defeat from 9 outings. They won one three matches and having 9 points.

Black Panthers raiders displayed good game. At the end of first half Black Panthers was leading by 28-25. In the second half Canada’s players tried their best but not able to control the game. At the end of stipulated time score was 61-45 in favour of Black Panthers. Black Panthers’s Navjot Jota earned 19 and Kala 11 points, for Maple Leaf Canada Manna earned 14 and Gaggu 13 points.

California Eagles dominated the match. In the first half California’s raiders displayed good game. At the end of first half California eagles was leading by 31-20 . In the second half California Stoppers made some good stops to increase the margin. At the end of stipulated time California Eagles won the match by 62-39. Their Navjot Shankar scored 13 and Taja 11 points. Where as Salli scored 11 points for Delhi.
