Global Exhibitions Day (GED) 2019 celebrations at HITEX, A knowledge Sharing Session is planned to mark the occasion

Hyderabad, May 31, 2019: Global Exhibitions Day (GED) 2019 will be celebrated on 5thJune 2019 globally. Indian Exhibition Industry Association (IEIA) joins Exhibition Industry community around the world to celebrate the largest awareness campaign tohighlight the sector as one of the most vital contributors to economic growth in cities, regions, and countries.

HITEX is joining the GED 2019 celebrations and plans to organize an awareness and knowledge sharing sessions on 3rd June 2019 at HITEX Exhibition Center, Hyderabad.GED 2019 celebrations at HITEX will feature interactive sessions with future professionals on career opportunities in exhibitions and events industries, knowledge walk and live demonstration of exhibition business.

Giving details in the press note issued in the city today, Mr. K V Nagendra Prasad, President, IEIA and COO, HITEX said, “As an Industry that brings people from various walks of life together, we want to blend this year’s GED celebrations with awareness and knowledge sharing sessions. Creating awareness about the events and exhibition industry and motivating future professionals to enter the industry is key to building future leaders of the industry.

GED is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the Exhibition Industry and highlight the positive impact it has on jobs, businesses, innovationand local investments. Various global associations and exhibition companies from 80 countries support this awareness-raising campaign and carry out various activities around the world.

To this end, IEIA, the apex body of the Indian Exhibition Industry, with the support of The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and International Association of Exhibitions and Events has planned various activities across the country.

Exhibition Industry Stakeholders including venues, organizers, service partners, students, local partners and public authorities from more than 80 countries will celebrate #GED19 campaign Online, and through an array of national and local events.

Global Exhibition Industry, with over 31,000 Trade Shows and Exhibitions yearly,is valued at $109 billion with the Indian Exhibition Industry hosting over 700 Trade Shows and Exhibitionsyearlyand contributing $ 3.68 billion (INR 25,000 crores) at a growth rate of 8.8% per year.India has 22 major Exhibition Centers with indoor capacity of 460,000 Sq. M.

To mark GED celebrations, every year the Exhibition Industry fraternity throughout India lead by IEIA organizes various activities related to industry and community development.
