GKU Students Win Gold Medals in State Level Competition

Talwandi Sabo, May 16, 2018: The students of University College of Hospitality & Tourism Management (UCHT) brought laurels to Guru Kashi University by excelling at the State Level Cooking Competition. The Head of department, Chef Mr.Gaurav Khurana felt proud of his student’s achievement as they got selected for National level competition organised by Punjab Skilled Development Mission after securing positions at State level competitions. Mr.Pintu and Miss Komaldeep Kaur secured first position for respective events and won the Gold Medals. Mr.Jogesh begged second position and won the Silver Medal at the State Level. The winners will perform at National level competition at Lucknow. Mr.Khurana said “Their performance was indeed commendable and we are looking forward for National Level Competition. They will participate in different trades like Food Production (cooking) and Food & Beverage Services.”

The Managing Director S. Sukhraj Singh Sidhu and Vice Chancellor Col. Dr. Bhupinder Singh Dhaliwal congratulated the students and staff membersfor their accomplishment. Dr. Amit Tuteja, Deputy Registrar also commended the success of the students and wished for their bright future.
