Amninder Singh student of Physical Education College of Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo who played in light-heavy weight category and won bronze medal in National Boxing Championship held at Vishakhapatnam.
Talwandi Sabo, February 24, 2015: Recently a National Boxing Championship was held at Vishakhapatnam in which players across the country participated in different categories. Amninder Singh student of Physical Education College of Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo played in light-heavy weight category and won bronze medal. Prior to this achievement, he has got so many medals in the state and national competitions. Now he is having dream of playing in Olympic Games for India as per his coaches and teachers.
Dr.Ravider Sumal, HOD, Physical Education College of GKU told that apart from the training by Boxing in charge of GKU K. P. S. Mahi and coaches Gursharn Singh & Hardeep Singh, Olympian Dr. T. S. Sandhu (Director Sports, GKU) himself is sharpening the skills of the player. Dr. N. S. Malhi, Vice-Chancellor, GKU Congratulated Amninder Singh for the bronze medal and also assured every sort of help from University Administration & Management side to achieve his dream.
