Talwandi Sabo, February 6, 2018: Guru Kashi University organized a seminar concerning the pact signed with acclaimed Crandall University, Canada for Joint Educational Programmes. Dr.Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Registrar, GKU was the chief guest of the event. Dr.Dhiman, vividly informed the students about the pact signed between GKU and Crandall University, Canada. He said “According to the provisions of the signed MoU, an understanding for collaboration in the joint running of courses like Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) was arrived at. The agreement highlights that a GKU student can be admitted to the B.B.A. or B.Com degree programs at CU after completing two years of B.B.A. program at GKU and then completing two years at CU. After completion, he will be awarded the degree by CU. This degree will make students eligible for permanent residence (PR), work permit, etc. in Canada”.
Dr. Dhiman further added “Generally students have to study for four years in Canada for the completion of the degree but with the signing of the agreement between GKU and CU, the students will be benefitted in terms of curtailing expenditure to half, besides the much sought after PR in Canada in considerably short time. Further, the students will get the benefit of medical health insurance from the Government of New Brunswick Province; otherwise this health care insurance is quite expensive. With the endeavours of GKU authorities, the fees structure, for the students who opt for this programme through GKU, has also been made reasonable, in comparison to other Canadian Universities. As many as 50 students will be opting for this international B.B.A./B.Com program, from the Academic Session (2018-19).”
