Gian Jyoti Global School Student got selected for “2017 World Taekwondo Hanmadang"
Mohali, May 19, 2017: Students of Gian Jyoti Global School brought laurels to the school by winning 4 Gold Medal, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal at N.T.T.A Open Inter School Taekwondo Championship. Inder Singh (Class 8th), Vansh Sharma (Class 5th), Piyush Latawa (Class 4th), Ahamjit Singh ( Class 1st ) won Gold medals. Sonalpreet Kaur (Class 4th ) won Silver Medal and Raman Bassi (Class 7th) won Bronze medal in N.T.T.A Open Inter School Taekwondo Championship held at Chandigarh. Over 300 students across the tricity participated in the championship.

Inder Singh (Class 8th), Raman Bassi (Class 7th) and Piyush Latawa (Class 4th) of Gian Jyoti Global School also got selected for “2017 World Taekwondo Hanmadang (Festival)” which is going to held in South Korea from 28th July to 1st August 2017. All three will be taking part in their events in South Korea from 28th July to 1st August 2017.

Ms. Ranjeet Bedi, Principal, Gian Jyoti Global School congratulated the students and the proud parents for the achievement of their wards. She further said that other students should get motivation to take part in such extracurricular activities. Such activities provide a platform to showcase their hidden talent.

Sports give us a sense of discipline & respect for others and national pride. Such Championships or Initiatives would help the country to uplift the sports standards in the country, she added.
