GHUBAYA KICKS OFF ELECTION CAMPAIGN IN FEROZEPUR; WELCOMED BY HIS SUPPORTERS WITH GARLANDS

Ferozepur, April 22, 2019: The supporters today welcomed Sher Singh Ghubaya, turncoat Member of Parliament from Ferozepur after returning to his constituency with garlands. It pertinent to mention here that the sitting MP Ghubya’s name was announced as a Congress candidate from Ferozepur by the high-command yesterday.

On this occasion, Ghubaya also kicked off his campaign in the form of a road show from Talwandi Bhai to his native Village Ghubaya. Accompanied by Davinder Singh Ghubaya, his son and Congress MLA from Fazilka and other supporters, an elated Ghubaya said that he was given preference by the Congress high-command due to his supporters. “I am the voice of the people of this constituency and Congress high-command was aware of this fact”, said Ghubaya.

Jasmel Singh Laddi Gehri, Member Zila Parishad and husband of Satkar Kaur Gehri Congress MLA from Ferozepur (Rural) also addressed the workers and said that he will make sure that Ghubaya gets lead of more than 25,000 from this assembly constituency.

Parminder Singh Pinki Congress MLA from Ferozepur (Urban) did not reach to welcome the sitting MP. When contacted Gurcharan Singh Nahar, President District Congress Committee (DCC) denied any kind of rift. “Even I waited till 2.00 pm for Ghubaya. After that I had to go to Delhi. All the leaders from Congress will support Ghubaya”, he added.

On his way to Village Ghubaya, the MP also paid obeisance at Gurdwara Jamni Sahib in Bajidpur and prayed for his success. He also paid obeisance at Dargah Hajrat Muhammad Baba Sher Shah Wali situated on Ferozepur-Fazilka GT road in the cantonment area.
