Teaching and Non Teaching staff at B.D.Arya Girls College, Jalandhar on Friday participate in gate rally.
Jalandhar, December 19, 2014: B.D.Arya Girls College, Jalandhar Cantt's joint action committee had a gate rally in which Teaching and Non Teaching staff of the college agitated against Punjab Government and joined hands by boycotting the university exam today on the prior call of various educational organisations .
They made anti-government slogans and critisised the government as the 95-in-aid colleges are not getting grants for the last 12 months and the staff in most of the colleges is working without pays.
College principal Dr. Sarita Verma told that the Punjab Government is very careless about higher education but a prosper India cannot be made with this step motherly attitude towards higher education. She urged Punjab government to release the grants so that the smooth working in colleges can be resumed.
