Fund raiser for special children held

Chandigarh, May 31, 2019: ‘Elysian Diva’, a fund raiser event for special children was held at Hotel Hyatt here on Friday. The event was organized by Empower a city based project under the aegis of Joy Lall Memorial Educational Society, which works for special children betterment in association with Surkhwabh. The event was also a tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Deputy Commandant Joy Lal for nation whose 20th shahidi divas was on May 30. During occasion, around dozen special children walked the ramp along with models and celebrities besides taking part in other fun filled activities. The special children got to walk the ramp with leading models and prominent women of the society including Neet Mahal an actress, Gagan Verma, Mr. Supermodel Universe, Ruby Singh actor, model and fitness expert, Dr. Vibha Bawa, winner of North Indian Queen 2018 and Ayurveda expert, Sanjana Sharma, ex-banker and Mrs. India Beauty Queen 2018, Dr Tetiana Kapranova an endocrinologist, therapist and fashion model, Sam Rattan, actor , model and anchor, Dr Rimple Sharma, Mrs. Chandigarh Queen 2018. Wheelchair Indian Cricket team players including Ranjit Singh, Nirmal Singh and Veer Singh Sandhu also joined kids in ramp walk and show. The purpose of event was also to create awareness and spread the field of activism in the special world community and to create more opportunities .It is great opportunity for the people to hear and see more about special people, asserted Empower co-founders, Bharati Kapoor and Sharmita Bhinder. “We want to talk about ability in each human being and focus on that so many children will participate as well as we want to provide them a larger platform.” The show is not about the body beautiful but to find a real person with grace and beauty .It is the combination of beauty and brain. We want our Empower Diva to be a personality with elegance, grace, beauty, uniqueness, During and a heart for work in future with special children, remarked Kapoor and Bhinder. The chief guest during occasion was Bittu Sandhu who runs Rani Breast Cancer Trust.
