Fulfill PF formalities

Chandigarh, August 21: The Punjab Government today issued directions to all employees to complete the nomination procedure for their general provident fund accounts as mandated by rules to facilitate the hassle free final payment. The retiring employees have also been instructed to complete provident fund payment formalities three month before their due retirement.

According to instructions issued, an official spokesman of the General Administration Department today informed that it has been found that most of the official/officers have not submitted the requisite documents in the concerned branches of their offices of the department regarding their GPF accounts, which create problems during last payment to the employees.

He said that employees have been asked to collect the GPF statements of the year 2011-12 from concerned branch at the earliest. He further said that these GPF statements were based on the monthly deduction from the salary and balance of dearness allowance of the employees. He said that any claim of wrong or missing entry regarding these statements could be submitted before the branch with full supporting documents
