Ludhiana, December 1, 2016: Today Mata Kaushalya Devi Pahwa Charitable Hospital (MKDPCH) Hambran, Unit of CMC Ludhiana held a free medical camp at Hambran. The camp was sponsored by Mr Onkar Singh Pahwa, Industrialist. Medical teams from General Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Dental, Dermatology, ENT, Ophthalmology, and Psychiatry. Total 532 patients were examined. Medicines were given free of cost and all investigations were done at 50% concession.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Verghese, present at the camp said “it is worthwhile travelling far into the rural and interior parts of Punjab to reach those who otherwise would not get their highly valued services.”
CMC Ludhiana’s mandate has been to reach the poorest of the poor. Along with philanthropic organizations, individuals, clubs and schools Christian medical college and hospital has been bringing quality health care at the door steps of those in greatest need i.e. the people in rural areas.
