Dr Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister, Punjab on Wednesday felicitates Mr Pardeep Singh who won laurels for the state by begging four Gold Medals in the Junior National Weightlifting Championship.
Chandigarh, June 24, 2015: Dr Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister today felicitated Mr Pardeep Singh who won laurels for the state by begging four Gold Medals in the Junior National Weightlifting Championship and set up new national records.
Visually ecstatic Dr Cheema garlanded Pardeep Singh for his rare feat of claiming four Gold Medals in the national event that too after setting new game records. Dr. Cheema said that that it is matter of great pride for the education department that a lad of Government School has clinched 4 gold medals. It is pertinent of mention that Pardeep has recently led the Indian sportpersons’ contingent to the Junior World Championship held in Poland in this month.
Meanwhile Mr. Balbir Singh Dhol, DPI (Secondary and Elementary Education) and Mr. Sarbjit Singh Toor, Deputy Director (Sports) handed over the trophies, which were presented to Punjab state by School Games Federation of India, to Dr. Cheema.
