Chandigarh, July 18, 2013: The work on four laning project of Morinda-Kurali-Siswan road has been commenced and would be completed by December, 2014. 

Disclosing this here today, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, PWD Minister said that Rs. 79 crore would be incurred on this project. He said that this four lane project would facilitate thousands of daily commuters besides saving both their time and money. He said that the construction on this total 30 km long stretch up to State Border would be instrumental in the development of kandi area.

Talking about the advantages of this four lane road, Dhillon said that with the completion of Morinda-Siswan project traffic congestion on Kharar-Chandigarh road would reduce  besides saving precious time of daily commuters.

Reiterating the commitment of SAD-BJP Government to provide best road network in the state, Dhillon said that the Government has upgraded 328 KM long roads in 2011-12 besides constructing 18 bridges.
