Flag Day observed in auditorium of DMC College Campus
Ludhiana, November 19, 2019: ‘National Communal Harmony Week’ is observed every year from 19th-25th Nov 2019 and Flag Day was observed today in Auditorium of DMC College Campus. The function was organized by the Department of Physiology, under the headship of Dr Vidushi Gupta. Dr Vidushi Gupta extended warm welcome to the dignitaries present on the occasion, including the chief guest- Mrs.Rashi Gupta. The chief guest, in her address, lauded the efforts of Department of Physiology in marking this day a memorable one for the students and faculty as well. The function started with a ‘Vande Matram’ song, sung by a group of medicos, which added festive air of national integration and communal harmony in the auditorium. The programme was followed by ‘Declamation Contest’ in which the participants touched various issues pertaining to National Communal Harmony. Some of them, very nicely touched the topic of ‘Corruption’ which is eating into the basics of democracy in India. The students of B.Sc Nursing presented a very impressive choreography programme and received a lot of applause from the audience. Other competitions held during the programme include Poster Competition, Slogan Writing Contest and Collage completion. The winners of different contest were awarded prizes and certificates by the chief guest Dr Joginder Pal Sidhu proposed a vote of thanks to the dignitaries and students present on the occasion.
