First LPG Bank of North India inaugurated

Ludhiana, December 9, 2019: Mr Bhupinder Singh, Chairman, Verka Milk Plant, Ludhiana today inaugurated North India’s first LPG bank at Verka Milk Plant, here. He informed that 16 some cylinders have been set up in the LPG bank and each cylinder weighs 425 kilograms. He stated that these cylinders would be used to run boiler and air heaters in the Verka Milk Plant, whereas earlier furnace oil was used for this purpose, which caused pollution.
In a bid to make our environment pollution free, the Verka Milk Plant, in collaboration with HPCL, has set up first LPG bank of north India in its premises. With the use of LPG for running boiler and air heaters, the need for repairs would become minimal. For setting up of this LPG bank, HPCL has provided the necessary infrastructure free of cost, and it would contribute in saving our environment.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mr Karamjit Singh Salana, vice chairman, Verka Ludhiana Dairy, Mr Rupinder Singh Sekhon, General Manager, Mr Hunardeep Singh Brar, Manager Engineering, Mr Arun Garg, General Manager North Zone, HPCL, Mr Gurindra Mohan, DGM North Zone, Mr Munish Kumar, DGM Hoshiarpur Region, Mr Sidharth Sehgal, Area Sales Manager LPG Ludhiana, besides several others.
