First of its kind an all women cluster under name of SWADES formed

Ludhiana, November 5, 2019: The first of its kind an all women cluster under the name of SWADES (Soul Women Artistic & Designing Entrepreneurs Society) was formed,
The cluster was formed to promote more than 20000 women entrepreneurs working as designers and artisans such manufacturing of suits, paintings, Sculptures and other products.
As per data collected by FOPSIA there is a market of around 50000 crores of Ladies Suits, Kurta’s, Designer wears in Punjab. There is huge potential of exports of such goods to overseas also. This cluster is providing direct and indirect employment to more than 1 Lakh employees in state.
FOPSIA included more than 500 such women entrepreneurs in this cluster. The cluster will have 30 Executive Members in each district.
The cluster will adopt the schemes of KVIC & MSME to setup projects in Punjab. The branches of this society will be opened in all the districts and the target of government subsidy will be more than 100 crores.
The Cluster was inaugurated by Mrs Kashish Batra daughter of Shri Sunder Sham Arora the Honourable Cabinet minister of Industries of Punjab. She assured the full support to the cluster for its smooth implementation in the state of Punjab.
The organization is in process to form women cluster for designer wears & bags of various materials such as jute and woven bags.
The cluster will take benefit of all government subsidy schemes, the approximate employment generation of this cluster will be more than 10000 Women workers in the state of Punjab.
Mr. Mandeep Singh Functional manager DIC briefed about the policies of the state government in regard to promotion of clusters. Mr S B Singh gave the act and working of clusters.
In the meeting Mrs Swarn Saggu, Mrs Shardha Jindal, Mrs. Reena Verma, Mrs Neeru Sharma, Mrs Neena Jindal, Mrs. Charanjit Kaur, Mrs. Hema, Mrs. Vanshika Garg, Mrs Siya Sharma, Mrs. Anu Sharma. Mrs Harmanjit Kaur, Mrs. Anju Joshi, Mr Pawan Batra were present.
