Finolex Industries Ltd. Invites the Rising Pune Supergiants to meet the children at KEM Hospital

Organises an interactive session for the children at the venue
Chandigarh, April 21, 2016: Finolex Industries Ltd., India’s largest PVC pipe manufacturer and second largest PVC resin manufacturer who is an Associate Sponsor for the Rising Pune Supergiants this IPL season, invited the players of the team to meet children admitted at the paediatric ward at KEM Hospital. The players present at the hospital were Ajinkya Rahane, Irfan Pathan & Ishant Sharma. The players interacted with the children by playing games & sharing their experiences on and off the field. The players saluted the unbreakable spirit of the kids and encouraged them to keep fighting! The kids wished the players luck for the remainder of the season.

Led by its mission of ‘welfare and happiness for all’’, Finolex Industries Ltd. and Mukul Madhav Foundation, organized this event to showcase a change of environment for the children at KEM hospital, giving them a break from their mundane life & building beautiful memories for them, which would be cherished throughout their stay at the hospital. Mukul Madhav Foundation, the CSR partner of Finolex Industries Ltd. has been associated with several reputed hospitals since the turn of this century and is constantly working on improving the quality of medical treatment being provided to children and women. In the year 2000, MMF set up a Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit, a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, a Children's Ward & an OPD at the KEM hospital, Pune.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs.Ritu Chhabria, Managing Trustee, Mukul Madhav Foundation shared, “I am glad that we got talented and popular players like Rahane, Pathan and Sharma to meet the children at KEM today. The kids were absolutely thrilled and we are happy to have been able to give them this platform. I would like to thank KEM Hospital for hosting us.”

The players enjoyed this time off the field, creating fond memories with the children. Ajinkya Rahane spoke after the event, “It was such a delight to meet the children. Their meeting with us was all smiles and full of joy. Seeing their happiness took away all our tensions. The experience was extremely refreshing and I am glad that Finolex Industries Ltd. is associated with such initiatives and is helping the cause of healthcare in the country. I would love to meet these kids again.”
