Kapurthala: Shri Sanjoy Mookerjee, Financial Commissioner (Rlys), Railway Board and Ex-Officio Secretary to Govt of India visited Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala on Thursday. Accompanied by Shri Naresh Salecha, Adviser/Accounting Reforms, Sh.Sanjay Upreti, ED/Finance (Commercial) and Sh.P.K.Sinha ED/Finance(Stores), Sh.Sanjoy Mookerjee was given a warm reception on his arrival at RCF.
He visited workshop where he was apprised of coach manufacturing processes. Later, he inspected coaches being manufactured for Tejas ( with 200kmph speed) , Humsafar ( Fully Airconditioned) trains, coaches for Bangladesh Railway, LHB Power Car and other variants.
Sh. Sanjoy Mookerjee held deliberate discuusions with Sh. R.P.Nibariya, General Manager on issues related with RCF. A presentation was made by Chief Design Engineer , Sh. A.K.Kathpal on latest developments in hand followed by presentation on financial performance of RCF by Sh G.S.Hira, FA& CAO and presentation by Adviser/Accounting reforms. In meeting with Sr. Officers in the Administrative meeting room, he addressed them and discussed various issues. In his brief address he appreciated the good work being done by RCF and wished a prosperous future.
Sh. Mookerjee also inspected the Accounts Office and was detailed on the working of various sections in the office, by Sh G.S.Hira,FA&CAO. He addressed the Accounts Staff and asked them to be exemplary in providing cost effective and efficient accounting services. He also visited Accounting Reforms Incubator set up in RCF , as a part of Pilot Study of Accrual Accounting and Upgrading Costing System on 15.03.2016 and inaugurated online by Shri.Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Railway Minister.
Memorandums were handed over to the visiting dignitary by members of recognized unions in RCF in the presence of Chief Personnel Officer & other Sr .Officers. / (Rajat Kumar, Jalandhar)
