FICO to start Multi Skill Training & Development Centre under Punjab Skill Development Mission

Ludhiana, January 4, 2018: Today a meeting under the chairmanship of Shri K.K.Seth Chairman FICO along with S.Gurmeet Singh Kular President held at FICO Head Office Janta Nagar Jaimal Road Ludhiana. Shri Anit Garg Mission Manager, Training & Development, Punjab Skill Development Mission, Government of Punjab was the chief guest along with Madam Swati Thakur State Head Gram Tarang Employability Training Services.
Shri Anit Garg elaborated about the government’s schemes regarding training and development under Punjab Skill Development Mission. He said that the government’s main focus will be on the development of skill of the unemployed youth of Punjab.
It has been unanimously decided amongst FICO Office Bearers and Executive Members that FICO will start its own Multi Skill Training & Development Centre to fill the gap between the industry and the skill. As industry is in dire need of skill and likewise skill is in the need of the industry to survive. FICO will focus on primarily on two segments Textile Industry Training & Development Centre, Bicycle Industry Training & Development Centre. Shri Ajit Lakra has been appointed as Convener for Textile Industry and S. Manjinder Singh Sachdeva has been appointed as Convener for Bicycle Industry.
