Ludhiana, December 23, 2014: Gurmeet Singh Kular President and Rajeev Jain Secretary of Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organisations (FICO) today met Ajay Mahajan, Special Principle secretary to Deputy Chief Minister Punjab, D.P.Reddy Principal Secretary industries and Financial Commissioner Taxation and Raminder Singh Secretary cum Director of Industries regarding issues of industries.
Kular raised the issue regarding space for exhibition centre. Huge amount is spent for the temporary structure, adding there should be a permanent exhibition centre so that industry does not waste funds on temporary structure.
Rajeev Jain raised issue regarding Advance Consumption Deposit (ACD). It was discussed that the entrepreneur are unable to deposit huge amount of money in one installment. It was finalised that industry can pay in three installments with interest.
Regarding technology up-gradation fund (TUF) detailed presentation was given. Up-gradation of R & D Centre Ludhiana was also discussed.
