FICO delegation meets PSPCL Chief Engineer

Ludhiana, November 5, 2014: A delegation of Federation of Industrial and Commercial organisations (FICO), Ludhiana under the leadership of its chairman K.K Seth and president Gurmeet Singh Kular met Rachpal Singh, Chief Engineer, Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd, Central Zone, Ludhiana and opposed Advance Consumption Deposit Imposed by PSPCL.

Delegates said industry is already under financial crunch but PSPCL imposed ACD for 1.5 month advance with calculation of 6.33/unit. They also apprised that it is not possible to make the payment immediately. It should be in atleast 12 Installments to save the industry from financial burden. They urged that it should not be revised every year. Only in enhancement it should be revised.

Chief Engineer assured the delegation that he would forward their demands with his recommend to the chief engineer commercial Patiala and chairman of PSPCL for further necessary action.

Regarding the fact that focal point division consumers are receiving bills with peak load charges although they opted time of day tariff meters (in time of day tariff peak load is100% exempted), the CE said in next billing cycle TOD Rebate & Peak Load Charges would be adjusted.
