Ferozepur, November 30, 2015: Tightening the noose of anti-social elements, Ferozepur police have arrested four persons and have recovered jewellery and firearms from them. While giving details, Hardyal Singh Mann, SSP, Ferozepur said that the police arrested four persons identified as Kewal Singh, resident of Village Rajo Ke Gatti, Rajan alias Sherry, Bhajan alias Jogi, Samma, residents of Ferozepur in two different cases and has recovered jewellery worth Rs.4 lakhs from them. The SSP said that the police have also recovered two pistols (.315 bore) and eight rounds from them.
The SSP said that on 29th November, the police arrested Rajan and Kewal Singh, from a naka at Ferozepur City while they were driving a car without any number plate. The SSP said that on the basis of suspicion, the police nabbed them and recovered two pistols (.315 bore) and eight rounds from them. They were booked under Arms Act. The SSP said that both of them admitted that they had been involved in several cases of robbery. “They also admitted that even, the car which they were driving was stolen last week from Makhu area”, added SSP
In another case, the police arrested Bhajan alias Jogi and Samma, from Ferozepur on the basis of suspicion. Later the police recovered jewellery worth Rs. 4 lakh from them. A case under section 22/61/85 IPC dated November 29 was registered against them.
The SSP said that more revelations are expected in the upcoming days.
