Ferozepur Police Achieves Success In Nabbing 3 Members Of Inter-State Robbers Gang

Ferozepur, November 4, 2015: The police have arrested three members of an interstate robber’s gang and have recovered jewellry worth Rs.8 lakhs from them. Giving details, Dr.Ketan Baliram Patil, SP (Hq) said that the police sleuths had received the information that three members of a robber’s gang, identified as Ravi alias Amar, resident of Nagrota, District Kangra in Himachal Pradesh, Sonu and Harmesh Singh, resident of Kot Ise Khan, District Moga, are planning a robbery near a bridge situated at Makhu-Lohian Khas road. “These miscreants were carrying sharp edged weapons also to fulfill their sinister intensions. However, acting swiftly, the alert police officials nabbed them. An Indica car (Number PB-29-M-8590) has also been recovered from them”, said SP (H), Dr. Ketan Baliram Parikh.

Later, the police recovered jewelry worth Rs.8 lakh which they had stolen from various places. The SP (H) said that these miscreants were involved in several theft incidents at Moga, Amritsar, Ferozepur, Muktsar and Patiala districts. “A case under sections 399/402 (Case Number 164 Dated 2.11.15) at Makhu Police station has been registered against them. The police are investigating the matter and we are hopeful that more revelations will be made by these miscreants”, added SP (H).
