Ferozepur District Election Officer takes action violators of election code

Ferozepur, January 31, 2017: Taking stern action, the Deputy Commissioner cum District Election Officer Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal today suspended one government employee identified as Gursewak Singh for openly supporting a contestant during upcoming assembly polls.
When contacted, Dhaliwal said that the erring employee was working in a government animal dispensary at Village Dhanna Shahid in Zira sub-division. “I had received a complaint against this employee after the investigation the allegations were found correct”, said Dhaliwal adding that any government employee who will be involved in such activities, will be dealt with firm hand.
In another incident, Dhaliwal instructed the SSP Ferozepur to lodge an FIR against two government employees for alleged negligence in their election duty. As per information available, the two erring employees have been identified as Pardeep Babbar, Inspector, Food and Supply Department and Amit Kumar, working as a computer teacher at Government School in Mamdot. When contacted, Dhaliwal said that he has instructed the SSP to lodge an FIR against both of these employees for remaining absent in their election duty. “Those who will not be sincere towards their duty, strict action shall be taken against them”, said Dhaliwal
In another incident, one person identified Rajinder Singh was nabbed by the police officials when he was allegedly filling forms of villagers for free gas connections at Village Hajara Singh Wala in Mamdot block.
