Ferozepur district administration gives food packets and medical facilities to 500 families

Ferozepur, August 28, 2019: The district administration has provided food packets, clothes and milk to 2000 people of around 500 families.
Divulging the details, the deputy commissioner Chander Gaind said that the administration has set up mobile boat teams which are supplying the ration and milk to the people. He said that 20 medical teams have also been formed to provide the medical facilities to the people at their doorsteps.
He said that the main aim of the medical facilities is to keep check the spread of vector-borne diseases.
Gaind told that the district administration has also arranged the food material, milk and others for next 20-days with the help of the people who generously donated.
He said that the distribution of the food packets will not be started till the situation gets normal in the flood-affected villages. He said that with the water started receding, the food and other milk will be supplied to the people on the tractor-trolleys.
Gaind stated that 19 relief centres have been set up for the flood-affected villages where food and medicines are being provided to the people.
