Ferozeur, March 1, 2013: In a meeting of the Lead Banks, Manjit Singh Narang, deputy commissioner, Ferozepur directed all the banks to pass on the benefits of government schemes to the needy by implementing the various bank schemes within the stipulated period.
Deputy Commissioner said, in 26 schemes of the Ministry of Finance, the amount will go direct in the account of the beneficiaries and out of 26, the benefit of 19 schemes would be extended to the beneficiaries.
Giving directions to the bankers, he said, the benefit of government loans should be disbursed to the needy, poor, students, widows and unemployed and banks should contact the persons more in the rural areas.
At the same time, he also directed the bank officials to recover the loan amounts simultaneously.
On this occasion, Pritam Singh Johal, ADC, Malkiat Singh, AGM Reserve Bank of India and other bank officials were present.
