FEROZEPUR DC: Ban on sowing of BT Cotton and high crops near International Border

Ferozepur, February 12, 2013:  Commandant of 143 Bn of Border Security Force (BSF), K. M. S. Wala, has brought to the notice of Manjit Singh Narang, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur that some of the farmers are sowing the BT Cotton and other high crops near the Indo-Pak international border and barbered fencing with the result the terrorists manage to cross Indo-Pak border taking the advantage of height of the crops and putting a security threat to the nation.

District Magistrate, Feozepur, Manjit Singh Narang has issued the ban orders to the extent that no farmer will sow BT Cotton and other high crops near the international border and barbered fencing.  These orders would remain in force till March 31, 2013.
