Felicitation of architects & panel discussion about challenges of smart cities done by senior architects

Ludhiana, November 26, 2018: ‘INT-EXT EXPO’ entered the third day on Sunday in which huge rush of visitors was witnessed. Visitors were eager and very keen to see the new products which are being displayed by renowned Indian Companies. Visitors appreciated to see new trends and designs in Kitchen, Baths, Interior & Exteriors decors which were never exhibited before.
Around 35,000 visitors visited the expo till today. Everyone appreciated the organizers for organizing such a wonderful exhibition in which all the big brands showcased their products.
On this occasion, Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, Dr.Sukhchain Singh Gill visited this exhibition and did interactions with few exhibitors and showed his keen interest towards this upcoming trends and innovation which are actually needed for making Nation a great place to live in.
Ar.Sanjay Goel, President IIA, Punjab-Chandigarh Chapter and Ar.Yogesh Singla, President IIA, Ludhiana Centre said that we are committed to make Ludhiana a smart and safe city with the active support of the administration.
S.Simarjeet Singh Bains (M.L.A.) and their members have also marked their presence and shared their valuable time with us during this exhibition. They were in full praise for the exhibition. They said that such kind of events were definitely have a positive impact for making changes in the modern lifestyle of the citizens. Such exhibitions will make their contribution to make Ludhiana a Smart, Safe and Healthy City.
Exhibitors were very happy and satisfied with the business queries generated by the visitors. They have shown keen interest to participate in the forthcoming exhibition also. They are overwhelmed with response getting from Ludhiana.
During this occasion, all the exhibitors were being felicitated and honored with the awards for their prestigious participation and making this show a grand success.
During this exhibition, everyone was in full praise for the efforts made by the organizers to put up such a spectacular show. The Exhibitors have put up latest products which are exclusively ‘Made in India’. Some of the manufacturers from the city exhibited very innovative products such as radium tiles, fancy lights, modern furniture, furniture items and decorative Glassware etc.
Latest innovative products were being displayed to make the nation a better place to live in.
Post the seminar of District- Level Workshop cum exhibition on Energy Efficient Building Materials in which the authorities tried to Create Awareness & Publicity in masses to adopt Non-conventional Energy Sources and Energy Saving / Conservation organized by Punjab Development Energy Authority, Udan Media & Communications Pvt Ltd. conducted another 1 more interactive session named as Int-Ext Connect (An Architect’s Meet) at Raddison Blu Hotel, Ludhiana in Association with Indian Institute of Architects and The Times of India and Hacker (kitchen german made). This event is also sponsored by Fortis Hospital LDH, HDFC Bank LTD., ALUK, PAN & Backer. The objective of this event was to discuss about the challenges of SMART CITIES PROJECTS. This platform has been exclusively designed for the architects as well as companies to come together and discuss the latest and upcoming trends in construction, technology, innovations, application in various domains and also the interesting solutions patterns that are emerging nowadays.
In the evening 16 architects were felicitated by Ar. Vijay Garg (President Council of Architecture India) chief Guest of the day. Felicitation done for on basis of feedback received from market, clients and corporates.
A panel of senior architects from all over India discussed about the Smart City Challenges Cities all the mentioned dignitaries were present on stage panel was moderated by Ar.Sajany Goel, chairman, IIA Punjab chapter, Ar. Shah from Bangalore also told that Smart City was just a myth and Ar.Zafar told did Government want to make some cities smarter and others backward, each city should be a smart city. In the discussion point was raised that its a common man responsibility to ensure the development is not only done by government but citizens should play an active role.
Panelists included Ar. Vijay Garg (President Council of Architecture India) New Delhi; Ar. Balbir Verma (Former President IIA-India) New Delhi; Ar. Surinder Bahga (Former Chapter Chairman & Member Advisory committee, Union Home Ministry on UTs) Chandigarh; Ar. Sanjay Goel (Chairman Punjab Chapter, Director Ludhiana Smart City).
In this meet, various renowned architects from Different locations from different fraternity were being invited to attend this meet.
During this meet, architects presented with their ideas of complete buildings and future projects live to a panel of the architectures from different fraternity and delegates, the exhibitors from the almost similar trades. They were being chance to interact with all other architects came from different states.
This meet is entirely dedicated to celebrating, sharing and inspiring outstanding and future architectures community. It is the only architecture event where keynote speakers from the industry’s most influential figures were being invited.
There was also a debate forum was being formed during this meet.
