Fashion Designing Department at KMV Ranked Among Top in India

PG Department of Fashion Designing Celebrates the Glorious Achievement Jalandhar, July 6, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar's PG Department of Fashion Designing has been ranked 1st among the colleges in India in various categories by India Today. The Fashion Designing department has achieved this singular status due to the various reforms in education system due to the Autonomous status of KMV. Since its inception, the department has its motto of ''Earn While You Learn.'' Throwing more light on it, Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the Fashion Designing Department has many reasons to celebrate. The department has been ranked Number One Nationally by India Today in the category of 'Best Value For Money' & 'Lowest Tuition Fees'. This ranking is much deserved by our Fashion Designing department as the department has taken huge leaps and has many achievements to its credit. The city- level exhibitions of the department are much awaited and give the budding designers of the department a platform to showcase their skills and earn their money. The Fashion shows under the nomenclature of ''Sukriti'' have made a name for themselves not only in the region but also on the national level. The recent collaboration with the Times of India Group has added another feather to the bejewelled cap in the organization of the Fashion Shows of National standing. Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi further maintained that the Placement Cell of the college and faculty of the department have always endeavoured to make the students achieve required skills for employability and entrepreneurship. Recently, Reva Tuli, a student of B.Sc. Fashion Designing Sem.VI got a campus placement in Marks & Spencer with a huge package. Besides her many more students have got plump placements as designers, merchandisers and faculty positions in stalwart organizations. Madam Principal further motivated all the students to scale bigger heights and also enlightened them on how belonging to a nationally acclaimed department, the college would contribute to their holistic development and will support in their all future endeavours.
