A Speaker during Faculty Development for teachers being held at St. Soldier Group of Institutions at Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, January 5, 2015: In an endeavor to update teachers with latest trends in education St.Soldier Group of Institutions arranged Faculty Development Programme for all its teachers. The uniqueness of this Faculty Development Programme was of its concept to bring every teacher of all the colleges belonging to St. Soldier Group of Institutions at one platform to upgrade their teaching skills. As many as three hundred teachers attended this FDP. Another good thing about this FDP was of its contents specifically designed and developed by its own experts includes head of the institutions.
Chairman Anil Chopra in his inaugural speech said, “It has become crucial for every teacher to refresh teaching skills for effective teaching. This effort will bring many good things for students as well as for the teachers”. According to Prof. ManharArora the programme was distributed in five technical sessions. First Technical Session was By Prof. Veena Dada on the Topic Life Skills for Teachers and Students in which she emphasised on the empathy skills for the teachers, Second Technical Session was by Dr. Subhash Sharma on the Topic Effective Teaching Methodology in which he trained teachers to be best in the teaching profession, Third Technical Session was By Dr. Alka Gupta on the Topic Smart Education by Smart Teachers in which she convinced teachers to use the technology for teaching and Fourth Technical Session was by Prof. Manhar Arora on the Topic Capacity Building for Teachers in which he trained the participants to improve their capacity to enhance the productivity and performance . Fifth Technical Session was by Dr. SPS Mehtiana on the Topic Role of Teachers in Modern Society
At the valediction Sangeeta Chopra Vice Chairperson of the St. Soldier Group told that This Faculty Development Program has trained our teachers to equip our students for the new challenges and new developments. In the New Year we are determined to give best in the field of education through our teachers.
