Chandigarh, September 29: eZipp an electric bike has launched by Chandgothia Associates the Direct Marketing Associates for Automobilesin city today. The battery operated bike that was being manufactured in Baddi has launched during a 2-day Lifestyle Exhibition 2012 that started in a hotel here today. 

As per the available information, the bike is a Green Revolution product of the company named VRLS Energy Solutions. To drive this bike one needs no licence, no registration, no Insurance and no helmet. This unique bike is an eco-friendly and environmentally safe. It is very easy to drive the bike with top speed of 30 kmph. It runs on battery charge for 40-50 kms and a full charge is completed in 6-8 hrs time. It comes in trendy colours red, golden and black.

Speaking during the occasion, Rajeev Chandgothia owner of Chandgothia Associates said that they were offering this environment friendly product to the residents of tri-city at a heavy discount.

The MRP of the bike is Rs.39,990 and Chandgothia Associates is offering the same for Rs.24,990 only till the Diwali in November. Moreover anybody who does booking during two-day exhibition at Chandgothia Associates stall by paying Rs. 500 as advance money, will get the bike at the price rate of Rs. 23,990. The delivery of bike will be made during Navratras.

Taking about bike unique features, Rajeev Chandgothia said that eZipp was a new generation high tech vehicle. Contemporary petrol engine vehicles have low energy efficiency of about 40%. In an electric vehicle, energy from the battery was directly taken to the electric motor through a controller, hence maximum energy efficiency was achieved. eZipp could carry an adult and a child passenger and has a load carrying capacity of 80 kgs, informed Chandgothia.
