EXTENSION of time period

Ludhiana / Amritsar, January 31, 2013: In a communication to the Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal state president Amrit Lal Jain on Thursday, the Bhartiya Udyog Vyapar Mandal national secretary Kishor C. Mehta (Kharawala)   has informed about extension of time period the proviso to regulation 1.1.2 of Food Safety and Standard (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulation, by six months.

According to the PPBM state president Amrit Lal Jain and state secretary Mohinder Aggarwal the order dated January 29, 2013 issued by Col. C. R. Dalal, Director (Enf.), Food Security and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, reads; “In continuation of earlier extension of time period the proviso to regulation 1.1.2 of Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulation, 2011 through order issued vide F.No. 03/1/2/2012/QAS/ FSSAI dated July 24, 2012, the undersigned is directed to convey that the compliance by the Food Business Operator towards standards given in aforesaid regulations which are at variance with any of the provisions of the license already granted is further granted for another six months or till further order whichever is earlier. This issue with approval of competent authority.”
