Extension Lecture on “Indoor Air Pollution and Plants”

Jalandhar, October 12, 2018: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar's Botany department organized an extension lecture on ''Indoor air pollution and plants''. The resource person for the occasion was Dr.M.I.S.Sagoo, Professor, Department of Botany, Punjabi University, Patiala. During the lecture, Dr.Sagoo aware the students about the pollution of indoor environment, causes and remedies for the same. He also explained in detail how plants play a central role in the purification of indoor air and also emphasized on keeping the indoor plants in the homes for a pure and clean environment. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this type of extension lectures play a vital role in making the students aware about the environmental issues and also motivates them to keep their environment clean and green.
