Exporters meet Joint Commissioner, Customs Department, Ludhiana

Ludhiana, September 23, 2019: Group of exporters led by CICU President Upkar Singh Ahuja and General Secretary Pankaj Sharma had a meeting with Neeraj Soi, Joint Commissioner, Customs Department, Ludhiana, earlier today.
Issues related to IGST refund of exporters stuck due to various errors, along with the Risky Exporters Alerts issues were discussed.
Neeraj Soi also apprised the participating delegates that instructions has already been given to officers in Customs department Ludhiana to address the ISGT refunds matters on top priority.
Soi also added that there are large number of exporters in this region, whose refunds are stuck due to delay in submission of required documents at their own end, required by custom authorities to full fill the procedural parameters and release the funds. Such exporters are advised review their own cases and get in touch with Customs department, so as to get their refunds cleared. He also shared that for the period from 1.7.2017 to 15.9.2019, total of 129,171 Shipping Bills were filled, out of which 125,826 Shipping bills were cleared by their department, which amounted to Rs.2621.63 Crores, as of now, 3345 Shipping Bills amount to Rs.92.48 crores are still pending and are likely to be cleared soon depending the meeting of procedural parameters.
