Masses appreciate exhibition as a way of connecting present generation with age old heritage

Chandigarh, July 24, 2019: The four day exhibition being organized by the Punjab Kala Parishad, Chandigarh today concluded with much fanfare here at Sobha Singh art gallery in the Parishad premises. The Chief Guest on the occasion saw Deputy Director, Tourism Department, Punjab, Sanjeev Kumar. The exhibition saw a wonderful display of the handicrafts related to heritage of Punjab by the Assistant Professor Dr.Davinder Kaur Dhatt. The Chief Guest said that it was a very appreciable way to connect today's generation with its old heritage.

The Special Guest on the occasion, the Joint Director, Tourism Department, Lakhmir Rajput and ex SP Bhagwant Singh Pandher congratulated Dr.Davinder Kaur Dhatt on depicting the age old culture so aesthetically. They termed such an exhibition in the era of barbie dolls as a rare phenomena.

The Convenor of the exhibition Dr.Nirmal Jaura divulged that during the four day exhibition, a large number of students as well as art lovers thronged to see the beautiful and marvellous culture and art of Punjab. The exhibition also saw 60 girl students from Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Jalandhar coming to witness the par excellence display of the art and heritage of Punjab. It is worth mentioning that the exhibition was inaugurated by the Chairman of the Punjab Kala Parishad Padma Shri Dr.Surjit Patar.
