Executive Council Meeting of PUAA

Chandigarh, December 13, 2018: The first meeting of the Executive Council of Panjab University Alumni Association(PUAA) chaired by Professor Raj Kumar,Vice Chancellor,PU and also president of PUAA, here today. VC urged the members to strengthen the ties between the Alumnus and PU.

The Council decided to have an international alumni meet in early next year. It was decided that the alumni association will work vigorously towards increasing the membership base and opening of Alumni chapters in the major cities of India and various countries.

It was informed that the Alumni associations in the respective departments of PU are doing good joband they are functioning under the umbrella of PUAA.

Earlier, the Dean Alumni Relations,Prof Deepti Gupta initiated the discussions by informing about PUAA and congratulated Prof Anil Monga on the completion of his successful tenure.

It was deliberated that the engagement of Alumni Association with the students should be pro-active. It was desired to encourage student interns to work for Alumni Association.The Council discussed about planning a full calendar of activities in the coming year to encourage greater alumni participation.

Member, Prof. H.R. Gandhar, Member, Prof. Neelam Grover, Member, Prof. InduBanga, Member and Prof Pam Rajput Member were present in the meeting .
